Rage of the Abyss has arrived, and with it a new era of competition!
The September update to the Forbidden & Limited List tilted the field: Yubel Duelists won YCS Lille and YCS Cancun, and all three members of the winning team at YCS Santiago piloted Yubel Decks to victory. But the game has changed! The final core booster set of 2024 is here, bringing with it new support and new upgrades for the Sinful Spoils and Snake-Eye themes, which may shift the power balance in Championship-level Dueling.
But that’s not all! Rage of the Abyss unleashes a tidal wave of new cards for WATER themes, including impressive new additions that strengthen the bonds between long-time allies: Atlanteans and Mermails! Honored Warriors who once commanded Championship glory make their return, as the Six Samurai rally for battle. Sharks roar from the seas, Battlewasps take to the skies, and Primite promises new life for Normal Monsters! And while it all plays out, a mischievous presence is set to stall even the greatest strategies at just the wrong moment – Mulcharmy Fuwalos will make or break literally hundreds of Duels here this weekend, causing maxximum chaos in today’s competition.
Here at the Niagara Falls Convention Center, 875 Duelists have gathered to compete in the main event – a record-breaking turnout that bests all previous Canadian tournaments in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series! The stage is set, and our competitors are ready to begin their quest for Championship gold. By tomorrow afternoon we’ll have one final winner, but for now, welcome to Day 1 of the first Championship of the Rage of Abyss season…
